Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where her primary teachers were John Graham, George Taylor, and Melissa Matson. Emily completed additional viola studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence, Italy, with Antonello Farulli. Her years in Europe led to opportunities including freelance work in Salzburg and workshops with Maestro Daniele Gatti in Siena.

Emily is an active multi-genre performer throughout upstate New York and New England with a special interest in new music and improvisation. Recent affiliations include work with Fra/ctured, Cordancia Chamber Ensemble, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, and Northeastern University. She resides in Boston.
